This Sunday Brooklyn will have practice at our usual spot: the Red Hook ball fields. We’ll be running at 5pm– show up at 4:30 to get cleated and do what you need to do before we start. Make sure to bring a disc, a light and a dark.
For everyone who’s been out already and attended Henlopen, White Mountain and Cazenovia, get excited: we’ve got some great talent on board and we’ll be working hard to continue to raise the level of our play.
If you’re a college player who’s committed to competitive open ultimate this summer, or for players new in town who have not been able to attend practice with us yet, contact us to let us know that you’d like to come out and demonstrate what you’ve got.

We competed at the Cazenovia Ultimate Tournament last weekend in Cazenovia, New York. Amazingly, considering the volatile springtime of upstate northern wilds, the weather was absolutely perfect both days.

This weekend, we’ll be heading up to White Mountain Open in Hanover, NH. It will be a great tournament, with teams such as Ironside, Sons of Liberty, Bodhi, DoG, Run Silent Run Deep and Colt .45 all looking to start their season on the right note.
So are we (looking to continue ours on an EVEN HIGHER note).
We are shaping our roster for the tourney and have already contacted most of the core players. It’s looking good so far. Definitely ready to play hard this weekend.
And party hard, of course (Henlopen house anyone?).

The NY Ultimate Frisbee Combine is this Sunday, 5-8PM, at the Red Hook Ballfields.
Brooklyn, PoNY and Puppet will join forces to host an action-packed afternoon filled with drills and scrimmages. You will get a chance to work on different aspects of your game, while competing against some of the best players in NY.
So let’s go out on Sunday to work hard and play hard. We have three tournaments coming up and the Combine will offer a good challenge prior to WMO the following weekend.
The Combine will serve as the last open tryout. Practices and tournaments following the Combine will be invite-only.
Remember to bring light/dark shirt, a disc w/ your name on it, cleats, running shoes, water, food and any other gear you’d need for a long practice.

Due to the incessant rain, practice today IS CANCELLED, so as not to destroy the fields.

We will set a date tbd at the end of May / begining of June to host official tryouts for college players. If you are in NYC before then, you are welcome to come to our practices.
